Don't know why but I seem to gravitate towards people that are a bit "creative". We had two pastors visit from Louisiana yesterday. One of them was very traditional and very kind, the other was "a bit different". He was an older man with a bandanna on his head, a beard and the leather vest with the patches denoting that he belonged to "Bikers for Christ".
His name is Brother Charlie McLean, pastor of Maplewood Baptist Church in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Now, he couldn't ride his Bike to Brazil, but he looks like his Harley was parked outside the front gate! Sweet Pastors, both of them but Pastor Charlie in speaking with me showed me one thing...
God made us so different! I asked brother Charlie for his card and on it, he shares John 3:36, Romans 8:39, and on the back a prayer for that one that is ready to pray to Jesus for their Salvation! He talks to so many people and to each one he leaves the "Word" and the certainty that he has given an opportunity for a person to make the most important decision in their lives...
I'm not quite ready for the "leathers", but I am definitely going to get some cards made up!
Also I want to thank God for those daring souls that aren't afraid to be "different" and using that difference as a tool to lead others to Jesus. That so inspires me!
