Last night, Aug. 31st, Raquel was asked to preach for missions night at a small church. She did an excellent job. It is special to hear here tell why missions is so important. She challenged the congregation to understand that we sometimes work against ourselves instead of working in partnership with the Lord, and that we need to get past that and really hear the Word of the Lord a fresh and anew so that we may live missions!
Just last month they had asked me to speak, and this month they asked her. I am sure that we have contributed in a positive way to inspire this small church to reaching out and being authentic.
What a privilege to encourage others and hopefully inspire them to do something new and courageous for God!

I am so proud of Raquel. God is using her in a powerful way! Sometimes we have to get way down the road, turn around and really take it all in. Sometimes that's the only way we can comprehend the magnificent ways God has directed our path!

Wow Raquel...you are still such an awesome inspiration to females of all ages!!!! You should not question what your talent or gift is from God. I didn't even have to hear your speech but tears were present just looking at your picture and the women who were listening to you. I found a lot of emotion in Brazil.....You, Byron and the rest of the Brazilian team are a powerful group!!!!! Missing you all so much!

Oh my, I really do feel like a proud Mama when I read about Quel and how God is using her in such a powerful way. When we were together in Brazil I told her that even though we loved having her live in the US it was obvious she is where GOD called her to be His hands and feet. May the Lord we love and worship richly bless all of you there. We miss you so much!
