They say it all! So glad I got to see them today.

beauty treatment that involves hot dogs?

God touched some folks at Florestal Baptist church to raise over 500.00 Reais to take beauty products to the women of Waterfall!

What you are seeing is beauty treatment at work! Hot dogs and beauty products may not make it in New York, but in Waterfall thats Okay! Not exactly worried about anorexic beauty queens... More about the Gospel, hygiene and health.

It was organized for women but everyone shows up for an evangelistic word, and the gift of clothing that was donated and care products and all kinds of stuff! Soap, deodorant, toothbrushes and tooth paste were handed out to the young ladies.


The clothes were laid out on the wall and everyone "went shopping"! The next day, Sunday morning it was cool to see them wearing the things that were collected.

There were also school kits to give the kids everything they would need to get back to their studies.


Its hard to tell from the picture above just how many people came, but I stopped counting somewhere in the 70's of folks around the meeting place! Probably around 85 were there! Pretty amazing for a community that didn't accept us in the beginning... So many that are coming to know the folks from the church, as well as coming to church when the church can send a van to pick them up. Other than that, we'll have to wait and see.

Dr.Carlos along with Florestal Baptist church has really blessed this little city with love which passes beyond any normal human understanding.

It has been a struggle to get my head around the whole "should we have a church building" question...

Up to now, no rent, no light bills, no worries about taxes or any of the questions about worrying about people stealing things.

Yet, what about a place for people to meet and identify with? If there is no place to be responsible for, then you could quit at any moment and no one would be able to really "fault" you.

Samuel & Bruno´s Childrens day Performance!

Last year on the 12th of Oct. I recorded this great perfomance from Samuel and Bruno at our church IBJEM and it was so well done that we wanted to share it with you. The problem was that it was too big! Samuel figured out a way to get it on to Youtube, and so here it is.

Even those of you who cant speak Portuguese will get a kick out of watching Samuel and Bruno use a show called "Chaves" to communicate the Gospel message to the children at the church.

Chaves was a famous show from mexico that gained popularity in Brazil and has been shown on television for more than 20 years! So you may not get the characters but I'm sure you will get the Matrix motif... The first part is dialog, but the second part is mime so you will understand the message...
