Samuel's new Camera...

Just a simple shot, but so cool!

Samuel getting in a shot...

Here are some cool photos from Samuel's new camera. The man was Busy! He was walking around taking creative shots of everyone. I think he should go into photography...

Samuel, practicing his surveillance angle...
Andrea and Lucas... Beautiful shot!

Papai e filho!

Our pretty little visitors that came to join us this Sunday...

This Radio boom box was an offering that came from our brothers and sisters in Wales. Thank You for blessing the kids at Waterfall with this awesome tool!

These guys might even become professional models! They are getting a ton of experience in front of the camera!Isn't shalom a knock out!
Thank you Samuel for some cool Shots today!

Back to "Waterfall of Souls"

Armed with chocolate spiderman cookies, and gifts that Raquel was able to obtain as donations for ministry, we were able to bless the children. Its funny, I know it seems that we are always giving things to these children, but for a long time we had nothing to give...

God has brought people to be interested in Waterfall in a way like I've personally never seen before. Just a tiny village of regular folks. Why such interest?

If you thought I would offer an answer here, well, I'm not even going to try. It is a surprise to me, but God loves these people and these children, and this place that seemed forgotten is HIS place.
The Joy for the simple things... I've worried whether we are "spoiling" the children too much and wonder if they will grow to just "expect" gifts. Who can say, but if we receive gifts to give, it would be a waste to not give.

It appears that I will be leaving Brazil indefinitely after July. There are many reasons why, but I would ask for you to be praying for Waterfall, that God would not let the work there die.

Time with Theodore

Being back in Brazil brings me to something so special I cant even begin to describe. Being with my children. Shalom was in Rio, so I didn't get to spend time with her, but I did get to spend a couple of days with Theo.

The first day after I get back from the U.S. is Christmas for me with the children, so I bring a few gifts for them, and they always want to give me something. Theo made me a drawing!

I gave Theo a D.J. toy turn table that makes a bit of noise... He loved making up songs and dancing. It was fun to watch him play with it.

Samuel was there to join us for a little while. It was a fun time together. Theodore's kind words and sweet kisses told me just how much he missed me while I had been away.

Some pics of my time at home this year!

The Amazing thing about being home is the wonderful people that God has put around me! Boyd and Pat are some of the most loving, and good folks who desperately want to live for Jesus! Wow! I love you!

Mt. Airy will always be a special place for me, it was the last trip my father ever took with us back in 2002, so this little town will always mean a great deal to me.

Me and Louise and mom went to spend a few moments with my cousin Angela right before Christmas. First time in several years that I had seen her.

Pastor Nelson and his wife Kathy had me to speak at their church for my last Sunday while I was at home visiting. This was the pastor who gave me a job as youth pastor around 13 years ago or so. They are special friends and I will always be so thankful for their friendship.

Rocky and Sue! Re-bonding after about 5 years of not seeing each other. It was such a brilliant moment we shared of laughing and talking about old times! I loved seeing you!

The girl I always called "Mary" even though she was never Mary... (Long story) and her husband Mike who I went to school with since grade school! You both never looked so good!

There are so many others of you that I didn't think to get pictures with, but you should know something, each of you... You loving me has helped me through a lot of tough moments and I am thankful for your friendship, for each one of you. Thank you for healing me with your fellowship and friendship! You are all fantastic people. You know who you are, even if your pictures are not included here... Thank you!

Back to Brazil Jan. 14, 2009

Right before I left I received a nasty ticket, and it was truly a "bad wrap" but when I visited the police station with a friend named Livingston which is the other plan clothes gentleman with me in the picture above, we had a very warm reception. I'm still fighting the ticket, but God brought me some special future ministry opportunities.

I had the honor of meeting some police officers who are Christians and who are choosing to not be corrupt and following the easy path.

The men in the picture above, excluding Livingston and myself are ex-policemen who are serving jail sentences for murder, drug trafficking and child molestation! They are kept in jail cells at the police station. So I also had the honor of meeting with these men.

This is a sight which is not common! IN ANY COUNTRY! I think God will honor their hearts for desiring to make sure that Jesus is a real part of their department!
